It all started when my boyfriend (now husband) gave me his old camera on our first Christmas together. I hadn’t planned on being a photographer, but it quite literally fell into my lap. I quickly fell in love with the art of photography, and 5 years later I get to call it my job.
So many of the things that I loved before — spending time with people, the great outdoors, art — I can now combine with a form of creativity that was waiting to find its way out of me.
Why do I do what I do?
The stories that are written in photographs are some of the most powerful and beautiful. My hope is to capture the small in-between moments that mean so much, as well as the big, once-in-a-lifetime moments that you’ll never forget.
I’m there to help you feel comfortable and at ease in front of the camera, to have fun with you, and to provide you with wedding photos that will absolutely blow you away. You can trust me to give you gentle direction throughout the day, but I also want to let organic and intimate moments remain what they are. A wedding day is so beautiful and sacred, and I want to respect and capture the unique essence of each one.
Above all I want to be your friend. I want to get to know you, laugh with you, and maybe even tear up with you because of the sheer beauty of love and life. I’d love to sit down for coffee or a drink, hear your story, and hopefully be a part of it in the future.
